3 HOUR Abstract Art Experience
Create your own beautiful work to hang at home or your office in a day

Join me in the Studio and create your own work of art to take home and enjoy.

Your 3 hour session will consist of:

  • Basic walk though of colour and mixes

  • Applying paint using a selection of tools including large wide brushes , palette knives, scrapers, combs, sprays and squeezy bottles.

  • Different effects to enhance the work

  • Practical use of materials to experiment and experience all above

  • Preparing your canvas with a background colour

  • Applying the paint to your canvas through layers to produce a stunning visual and tactile painting

  • You will surprise yourself and be proud of your work of art

  • Take home your masterpiece

The Swansea Studio where you will enjoy a fabulous session

Mike Leahy has no art school experience and is self taught. He is a prolific artist producing many paintings and works regularly in his studio. So PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN ART TEACHING DAY. YOU WILL LEARN BASICS AND IT IS A FUN DAY TO ENJOY

Your visit  includes all materials including a prepared canvas on a wooden sub-frame measuring at least 16 x 20 inches, tuition, morning coffee/tea/juice with biscuits or afternoon tea and cake, digital photos of your day. You take your work with you to display at home. Wear or bring old clothes including shoes (or we can supply a throwaway protective suit and overshoes at cost). We supply gloves but this paint will wash off hands easily. With clothes it becomes pretty permanent. On completion you will be awarded a certificate of completion and glass of prosecco to celebrate the day.

This is a one-to-one experience, but you can bring a friend (cost for two is £150). No painting or drawing experience is necessary, only an open minds and willingness to enjoy the experience.

This Experience is complete in itself and everyone of any age is welcome. The studio is on the second floor so is not suitable for some disabled people but alternative arrangements can usually be made. The session usually lasts 3 hours, morning, afternoon or evening
